# CLI

The `@avertgate/cli` package provides the `avertgate` command.

| Command | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `start` | Starts the MCP gateway (default). `--shadow`, `--dry-run`. |
| `init` | Writes `policy.yaml` and `.env` to the current folder. |
| `verify` | Verifies the SHA-256 chain's integrity. `--db` picks the database, `--seal` first adds older events recorded before chaining was enabled to the chain, `--json` prints machine-readable output. |
| `report` | Produces an executive summary. `--format terminal\|markdown\|html\|json`, `--output`, `--agent`, `--org`, `--since`, `--until`, `--limit`. |
| `proxy` | Starts the HTTP reverse proxy. `--port`, `--upstream`, `--policy`, `--db`, `--shadow`. |
